PE & Swimming Days:
5M & 5R - Tuesdays & Wednesdays
5O - Monday & Tuesdays

For swimming, children need to bring the following:
Swim Kit
• Swimsuit (worn to school under uniform) – see below
• Goggles (only if you require your child to wear them and with written permission)
• A towel
• Plastic bag to put wet swimsuit in after the session
• Swim hat
The children will have use of the changing rooms at the end of their session to change out of their wet swimsuits into their clothing.
To enable your child to gain the most from their swimming sessions it is important that the swimwear is safe and will not hinder their ability to learn.
Children should wear:
• A one-piece swimming costume OR
• A one-piece burkini (make sure material does not go see-through when wet) OR
• Swimming trunks or short shorts above the knee
• A swimming hat if hair is long or goes in their eyes when wet
• Verruca socks if needed
Children should NOT wear:
• Two separate items such as bikinis or tankinis
• Burkinis that have long skirts attaches
• Underwear or wetsuits
• Outdoor footwear such as flip flops, crocks or reef shoes
• Leggings and t-shirts (in the pool)
• No jewellery is to be worn or taken to the pool (unless worn for religious reasons)
The use of goggles is not recommended as they can be dangerous. Written parental consent is required if you would like your child to wear them. This letter should be given to the swimming instructor at the start of the swimming programme. The instructor will make sure the goggles are safe to wear. Diving and snorkelling masks are not allowed.

Children should come to school in their PE kit on a Tuesday only.

How to contact the team: Our staff team are available most days after school. Alternatively, please email the office and they will direct your enquiry to the relevant member of staff.

If you have any concerns, please speak to the class teacher first, before approaching the Year Group Leader. If you feel this hasn't solved your concern, please speak to the Phase Leader, before directing your concern to the Headteacher.
