Welcome to Year 4!

The children have had a fantastic start to Year 4!

In English, they explored Into the Forest by Anthony Browne, making predictions, discussing the illustrations and creating dialogue using inverted commas.

In Maths, they used Dienes blocks and place value charts to represent numbers up to 10,000, developing their understanding of thousands, hundreds, tens and ones.

In Art, the children have been exploring the artists and illustrators Laura Carlin and Shaun Tan. They were able to create beautiful visual notes on the artists and show their own artistic flair.

In PSHE, they discussed responsibility and how being responsible for their actions, belongings and learning can help them become more independent.

Year 4 have worked incredibly hard and shown great enthusiasm, curiosity and positivity. It has been a wonderful start to the year, and they should all be very proud of their achievements!
