Mental Health & Wellbeing
At Hazelwood Schools, we take the view that positive mental health is everybody’s business and that we all have a role to play.
We know everyone faces challenges that can affect how they feel and cope. At Hazelwood, we are committed to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing for our whole school community — children, staff, parents and carers. We believe emotional wellbe
ing is as important as physical health.
Our aims:
- To help children manage change, uncertainty and stress with confidence
- To ensure children can access timely support so they can reach their full potential
- To promote resilience and wellbeing through proactive, preventative work so fewer problems develop.
We believe positive mental health is everyone’s responsibility and that the whole school — staff, families and governors — plays a part in supporting it.
