Speech and Language Support

The early years speech and language therapy team support the development of pre-school children’s speech, language and communication skills through partnership working with parents, families, and other professionals.
The children who the team look after find it hard to:
- understand what is said to them
- use gestures, signs, words, and construct sentences
- say words clearly
- find the right words to express thoughts and feelings
- understand rules for social interaction and conversation
- speak fluently
The team work in a variety of settings across Enfield, supporting children living in Enfield from birth until they start school (reception class).
If you have concerns about your child's speech, language or communication, please speak the Nursery Staff who will be able to offer you support and advice.
If you live in Enfield or have an Enfield GP and would like your child to be seen by one of the early years speech and language therapy team , you can contact them directly using the details below.
