Beginning of the day

Start – gates open at 8:40am

At Hazelwood, we have a soft start to the beginning of the day. Children are able to arrive at school between 8.40am and 8.45am and enter their classroom immediately – there is no need to line up. All children should be in school by 8.45am when formal learning begins.

Breaks

All children from Year 1 to Year 6 have a 15-minute morning break. This takes place between: 10:30 – 10:45am.

Lunchtime

The lunch breaks last for 1 hour for all children and is staggered from 11:15am through to 1:15pm.

End of day

Children can be collected from outside their classroom/building at 3:15pm.

The school is open to children for 32.5 hours per week. 
 

Nursery Times 

For Nursery, times vary depending on whether your child has a full time or a part-time placement. 

Full time is from 8:30am - 2:30pm 

Part time is from 8:30am - 11:30am 

There is an option for extending the school day from 2:30-3:30pm. 

We also offer wrap around care from 8:00am - 6:00pm.
