Celebrating Black history month

We have ended the half term with an incredible week marking Black History Month. The theme this year has been Honouring our Communities - Making a Difference. Our children have been learning all about inspirational Black people and how they made a difference to the lives of others. On top of this, there has been cooking, workshops exploring racism and how we can be actively anti-racist, reading, writing, artwork and lots of discussions encouraging our children to think about how they can make a difference to the community we live in. Finally, on the last day of half term, we have celebrated the end of our Multicultural Week with a big interactive story-telling session delivered by Adrian from Big Foot Education - It has been an amazing week!
